Orders & Payment

Payment methods

We accept payments in Swiss Francs (CHF) by the following methods:

  • Visa, Mastercard or American Express debit and credit cards
  • Electronic bank funds transfer. Our payment details are available at the end of the checkout process.

Unless otherwise agreed with us beforehand, please note that we will be unable to dispatch your goods until payment has been received and cleared.

We do not currently accept payments by credit and debit card by telephone.

Please do not email your debit or credit card information as we cannot be held responsible for any loss that might occur if you include debit or credit card information in an email to us.

The prices on our Website are displayed and charged in Swiss Francs (CHF).

 

Taxes & Duties

Switzerland and the EU

We are required to charge VAT on all orders shipped to Switzerland. The prices shown on our Website exclude VAT, which will be added at the current standard rate of 7.7% to your order during the checkout process.

Our invoice will disclose separately any VAT that we charge to you.

Other International Sales and Import Taxes

Goods that are shipped outside Switzerland are not usually subject to VAT. Where applicable, based on the delivery country that order is being shipped to, we will exclude VAT and Duty from the price of your order.

Please note that, as a result of the goods being imported to your country, you may be required to pay other taxes or charges locally.

Any local import duties, customs charges, taxes or administration charges paid to couriers arising from a shipment outside of Switzerland should be paid directly by you as Pearlston cannot be held responsible for the payment of such charges.

 

How to cancel an order

You may cancel your contract with us at any time up to the end of 14 days from the date that you receive the ordered goods. If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us by email at sales@pearlston.com or call us on +41 22 311 74 58.

Please note that some orders cannot be cancelled and those that can are subject to certain time limitations and conditions, as set out in our Terms and Conditions.

 

Payment security

If you complete your purchase with a direct payment gateway, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Website security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
